CLIENT GOALS
Our clients wanted a nature-inspired bathroom in their new home. Although it was a small area to work with, they desired warm brown colours to give the bathroom a jungle-like look, which would be emphasised by adding plants. They envisioned a tranquil, earthy retreat within their home.
THE EXISTING CONDITIONS
The bathroom was being constructed as we were working on it, requiring us to coordinate closely with other builders on site. This dynamic environment demanded flexibility and careful planning to ensure a seamless integration of our work with the ongoing construction.
THE PLAN
We designed a plan that would bring the client’s vision of a nature-inspired bathroom to life, despite the limited space and lack of windows. The plan included the use of warm brown tiles and natural stone elements to create an earthy feel. We selected fixtures and finishes that would enhance the jungle-like aesthetic, such as wood accents and rustic details. To further the theme, we incorporated ample space for plants, ensuring they could thrive and add to the bathroom’s natural ambiance. Special attention was given to lighting to mimic natural light, creating a bright and inviting space.
DESIGN INSPIRATION
Inspired by the lush greenery and earthy tones of a jungle, we focused on creating a bathroom that felt like an escape into nature. We used a palette of rich browns and greens, complemented by natural textures and materials. The design included a statement wall with vibrant, tropical-themed wallpaper to enhance the jungle atmosphere.
CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
Working alongside the ongoing construction of the rest of the house presented unique challenges, particularly in terms of timing and space management. We carefully scheduled our work to align with the overall construction timeline, ensuring minimal disruption. Additionally, we utilised compact, multifunctional furniture and storage solutions to maximise the limited space, creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing bathroom.
FINAL TOUCHES
To complete the transformation, we added finishing touches that brought the nature-inspired theme to life. Floral accessories were chosen to enhance the earthy feel. We also selected hardy, low-maintenance plants that would thrive in the bathroom environment, providing a lush, green accent to the warm brown tones. LED lighting with a natural daylight effect was installed to ensure the room felt bright and inviting, even without windows.

The backlit mirror and sleek sink became standout features of our nature-inspired bathroom design, adding both aesthetic appeal and functional excellence to the space.

The backlit mirror, with its soft, ambient lighting, creates a serene and welcoming atmosphere. The integrated LED lights are carefully positioned to provide optimal illumination without glare, making morning routines and evening wind-downs a pleasant experience. The mirror’s design not only enhances the bathroom’s visual appeal but also contributes to its overall functionality. Its sleek, modern frame complements the earthy tones of the room, seamlessly blending with the jungle-inspired decor.
BASIN
The sink, a modern masterpiece, combines form and function. Its elegant curves and minimalist design offer a sophisticated touch, while the high-quality materials ensure durability and ease of maintenance. Positioned atop a custom-built wooden vanity, the sink serves as both a practical fixture and a visual focal point. The natural wood grains of the vanity echo the bathroom’s theme, providing a harmonious balance of nature and contemporary design.
These elements, while not traditionally smart technology, bring an intelligent design to the bathroom, making it both beautiful and highly functional. The thoughtful integration of the backlit mirror and stylish sink enhances the user experience, making daily routines more enjoyable and the space itself a true retreat.
